ANNOUNCEMENT AFTER THE PRESS CONFERENCE HELD AT THE
SEAT OF THE NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION (NEC) IN WARSAW
On 23 October
2005, at 11.45 p.m. a press conference on the second round of voting in the
Elections for the President of the Republic of Poland was held at the seat of
the National Electoral Commission in Warsaw at. Ul. Wiejska.
The following
participated in the conference:
Deputy Chairman of
NEC Judge Jan Kacprzak
Member of NEC Judge
Andrzej Kisielewicz
and
Head of the
National Electoral Office Minister Kazimierz
Czaplicki
The conference was
chaired by the Deputy Chairman of NEC Judge Jan Kacprzak, who presented an
announcement of NEC on the partial results of the Presidential Elections.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE NATIONAL ELECTORAL
COMMISSION
on the partial unofficial results of the Presidential Elections determined
as at `11:20 p.m. on 23 October 2005
On the basis of information obtained
electronically on the results of the second round of the elections at 15 148
precincts constituting 60.19% of the total number of precincts, the National
Electoral Commission announces the unofficial results of the elections which in
regards to the number of votes cast on individual candidates are the following:
1)
number of eligible electors was 17 527 725;
2)
number of ballot cards issued was 8 848 910;
3)
turnout was 50.49%;
4)
number of valid votes cast nationwide was 8 757 907;

of valid votes cast on individual candidates was:
